Alpine Classic Run......
It's not a run for runners who like flat roads with hard pavement and urban scenery.
From start to finish, the Jordan Alpine Classic is different.
"Brutal" and "We love it - don't change a thing," are comments made by runners who finish.
The Classic is a European-style cross country run: steep hills, a brook crossing and country and dirt roads.
A glorious 8.5 miles of trails and roads. "I love it because it is not for the meek."
8.5 miles through fields, up steeeeeeep hills including a run through a small creek where you have to use a rope to pull yourself up the opposite bank. Awesome run!
This year's Alpine Classic starts at 10am on Saturday September 19 from the Jordan Fall Festival (map it upper right side of this page) grounds near the Erie Canalway Trail. Early registration is always encouraged.
Proceeds from run registration fees support numerous community programs and organizations.
